I am on the homestretch here--only 3 days until I am in Orlando, Florida! We will be spending 10 glorious days in Disney at two different resorts. Why do the last few days leading up to vacation seem to drag on forever?
I am seriously getting burned out work-wise. To make things easier, I usually listen to music while I work. Since I spend much of my time online, I am always looking for new (legitimate) sites for music.
I found some of the best new music online at 'tweewoo' - this place has a wide variety of stations to choose from. I am pleasantly surprised. While this is good for making my day more enjoyable, it has really slowed down my productivity. I can't stop searching through the artists! I am finding artists and songs I like but I am also finding those I never heard of, which forces me to listen because well what if I miss something good?!
So here I am, almost 6pm and I am not finished with work for the day. UGH, I really need to have a more productive day tomorrow!

So Dante brought this little gem home from school yesterday. Apparently the children were learning all about the letter 'K'...
I was never one to play games much. In fact, growing up we did have gaming consoles, I only used them a few times, and that was that. These days there are games to play everywhere, online and on ‘smart phones’ too. I am slowly becoming addicted.
Take online games for example. I found myself playing Blackjack online! Yup, I never thought I would be playing this type of game online but I found a site that caught my attention and BAM! There I was, paying. (Click here for Planet Black Jack – the site I found.)
It is interesting to me how these games go from fake to reality in no time flat. Mean, look at all the online games that people play where they play against or with other people, online. A virtual reality of sorts. It is insane! I know a guy who is completely consumed by these types of games. They become his life and he takes it very seriously.
I am not that ‘bad’ – yet. I think the only game I am truly hooked on right now is some game on my phone. I cannot even remember the name of the game at the moment., how bad is that?

In June, we made it to Florida and back home without any issues. The airport was quiet at 6am on the way to Florida -- look at how happy my kids were to be going to Disney World:
We checked one bag and then took the computer and 2 backpacks as carry-ons. The computer never leaves us. While we were waiting in the airport I saw a guy with one of those tablet netbooks and I was impressed--they are really nice!

Even my ex-husband sent me a text at 6:30 this morning letting me know to bring Olivia to him whenever I am ready. I'm tired and now I'm grumpy!
A friend of mine has a niece who graduated last year from Penn State (Main campus) and has now been in the medical field as a nurse for over a year. The most frustrating issue she has come upon is finding the most comfortable scrub sets to wear during those long shifts. Since she works longs hours and does as much overtime as possible, she not only wants comfortable scrubs, but she wants to get them at a good price. Well, who wouldn't?
I remember having this dilemma when I worked as the Operational Supervisor at a Plasmapherisis center; so, I mentioned a few places to her where I used to shop. However, she really wants to find discount scrubs online--no time to go out shopping.

It has been a long work week and now this upcoming weekend is going to be super busy. Olivia and Dante will be home from school soon and then it will be chaos!
Must shower, make dinner, clean up, then take Olivia for a sweatshirt that is acceptable for her to wear for cheering. Tomorrow she is cheering for 3 football games because she will miss 2 games when we are in Disney so she is making them both up at one time.
This poor girl has to be at the football field at 8:15am. All 3 games should be over by noon, then she has cheering practice from 12:30pm-2:30pm!

Then, I read about those horrible fires in Texas. Oh wow, I cannot even begin to imagine what those people are going through, STILL! I have a friend who lives near Austin, Texas and he said it is really bad--just the smoke in the area. He had to find a company to help get rid of the smoke damage in his office. The smell was really horrible in the rugs and carpets.
Being the Internet geek that I am, I told him to Google "smoke fire damage austin" to find a local company that could handle the job. Of course that worked and he found http://www.thesteamteam.com/ and contacted them for help.
He was pleased with the services he received so if you're in that area and need the services he did, check them out.

Every year when we vacation we look for something new to do or a new place to check out. For some reason, golfing is suddenly on the list. I am not going to deny the fact that there are some beautiful golf courses where we vacation but I have never ever in my life golfed--unless you count miniature golf and chip and putt?
Obviously, if we are going to try our hand at golf, then the first thing on my list of "things I must have" is a golfing guide so I know what the heck I am about to attempt! We both need to have an understanding of golf equipment and which driver or putter to use for different scenarios. This could prove to be quite interesting!

Who would have thought this would be comfortable?
I have not been to the dentist recently but I know I need to go, just for a routine exam and a good cleaning. I admit, I have been putting it off because I hate having to take out my piercings and my lip piercing is only 2 months old.
It was important to me to find a Family Dentist that is reputable and close to home. I am glad I found one and I am even happier that the kids actually love going to the dentist. I was really worried Dante would hate going to the dentist but he proved me wrong!
Even when Olivia had to have some cavities filled, she never feared the dentist. She was not afraid to go back six months later for a check up either. Wyatt is my youngest and he did not give me a difficult time going either.
It is very important to keep these visits positive and that positivity starts with the staff and dental assistants. Our family dentist has done a great job at keeping everything positive.
The next visit for the three kids is in February. I think I will make an appointment for then too. CJ should also get in to see the dentist. Usually we only go once a year but the kids are still on an every six months basis.

I don’t know what it is about being away from home that makes me feel so free but I just love going to new places and exploring new cultures. I wish I had the opportunity to travel more internationally but it’s just so expensive right now, especially Europe.
I love being able to drive so many great places from home though and it definitely saves me money in the long run. I wish my husband shared my love of travel but I guess our differences are one of the main reasons we fell in love!
I had that 3rd dermal removed yesterday :-( It had to be taken out, just wasn't doing well. This is what it looks like today:
I LOVE my piecer, Desiree. She kept my jewelry and when I'm all healed up we will try again - at no charge. She did not charge me to remove it, keep and sterilize the jewelry, or have it redone, when the time comes.
I tried to fix this blog template to get rid of the JS-Kit/Echo commenting system and revert back to the Blogger commenting system. I noticed on a post where I was discussing how to apply for restaurant loans there were comment errors. UGH!!!

I am supposed to be getting Sally from The Nightmare before Christmas, tattooed on the other side of my neck this month. This is the photo I found that I want the artist to use:
I run a small freelancing business but I have a lot of vices, like piercings and tattoos...So, I am thinking I may need a second job. I already searched for data entry jobs (REAL JOBS), Legacy System Programmer Jobs, and of course other freelance writing jobs. Guess we will see if anything pans out!
Dante is starting kindergarten and Olivia is starting 3rd grade.
