My Favorite Day in November

There was a Sunday last November that was such a beautiful day we took the Witchlets to the playground to burn some energy.

The tree at the playground was utterly beautiful, so vibrant in color--the leaves stood out. I love how they change color right before falling. Shows that even death is beautiful.

The day was so perfect, the weather was amazing; hard to believe by evening it was so cold out I wished I had heated mattress pads and some hot coco to get cozy with!

Beirgarten, Here We Come!

I am going to need safe diet pills that work or something for our upcoming Disney vacation! We're eating at lots of great places but one I'm really looking forward to is the Beirgarten in Germany at Epcot! There is such amazingly good comfort food there!

At least there's fun and dancing there too--I can burn off some of the food! Here is me in May dancing with Wyatt and Dante:

It's All About the Face

I have noticed people are very self conscious about their face. As a teen, it's all about finding the best acne products and as an adult is all about finding something to get rid of wrinkles.

I am just now, at 37, starting to really notice facial changes on myself. I think I still look the same as I did 10 or 15 years ago, just a bit older.

I often wonder what I will look like as I grow older; one I reach 50, then 60. I look at my mom and grandmother and fell a bit scared inside!

Colon Cleanse and Weight Loss

Since really getting into freelancing, I've been writing alot of health and weight loss articles. A well written article requires a decent amount of research.

The next article I need to write has to do with using a colon cleanse to lose weight and I plan on listing the pros and cons. I'd love some information from anyone who has first had experience using a colon cleanser--whether for detoxing your body or for the purpose of weight loss.

Please leave a comment if you have some input.

The Internet is Full of Possibilities

Not only can you shop online, chat online, keep up with friends and family online and even go to school online, you can even receive an online nursing degree too!

A friend of mine just accomplished this tremendous feat! I must admit, I was shocked she could get a nursing degree online, but I guess if it is possible to get teaching degrees online, why not nursing degrees too?

Press Release Plus Blogging Equals Awesome Promotion!

One way to promote your business is to blog about it. Of course, this makes sense...give the details of your business to your readers in the form of a short blog entry.

Another excellent idea is to write and submit a press release. A client of mine writes two press releases a month--she sells personalized baby gifts and wants to let everyone know when her business is having a sale, offering a promotion, or getting in new stock.

Write a press release, then promote it on sites such as Digg, Stumble Upon, Facebook, FriendFeed, Twitter, etc...even post a link it in a new blog entry, like this:

Gifts for Guys

I have a blog, "Cool Gifts For Him" and I try to remember to update it regularly with items I find that I think would make really cool guy gifts.

Giftslike technology gadgets, sports apparel, hunting stuff, like camouflage and rifle scopes, and even outdoor adventure stuff. So, keep an eye on that blog as I will be hosting a giveaway on it in the near future!

Disney in June

I am really looking forward to our June trip to Disney! June 19-25!

I am already going through the kids' summer clothes trying to figure out what I will need to buy for the trip. So far I only need girls shorts for Olivia because the boys seem to have all sorts of summer stuff that will (hopefully) fit in 5 months!

This trip we are taking CJ's niece Summer (13) and nephew Adam (16)--neither have been to Disney!

Cabinet Disaster

My mother has a million plastic containers and mis-matched lids...drives me nuts every time I help clean up after a meal and need to find storage for leftovers. I swear, for Mother's Day I am going to get her food storage kits and I will throw away all her containers.

The cabinet she has everything in literally attacked me the other night, everything came crashing out!

The Weekend is Finally Over

Yea, I'm GLAD it's Tuesday! The kids not only had off Friday and Monday because of Martin Luther King Jr. but then snow on top of it all! UUGGHH!

Today I was awoken by Dante at 6:30am! YIKES! He was up and wanted some cereal. So I got up and of course, made coffee first. Since it was just us up, I decided to use the quiet time to try and get some work done. (I am a freelance writer for Demand Studios.)

Um, I now know I should go for the blogging instead of the article writing when first waking up. I just couldn't make sense of any of the information I need to find regarding natural sleep aids for adults so I decided to clean the kitchen instead!

Maybe I need to add brandy to my coffee.

Trying for Flawless Skin

Last month on my Witchy Mama blog I talked about clearing my skin with positive thinking, rather than having to use acne treatment products or acne wash products.

Well, here's an update. It actually worked really well last month...this month, not so much! I don't know if there was added stress or maybe I didn't focus enough on the positive thinking but I am going to give it a try again next month.

Cheerleading and Gymnastics Now

When Olivia was 6 she has tried dance (hiphop/jazz) but she quit. Seriously, she quit. She didn't like it much and was completely freaked out about having to be on stage for a recital. Jeff and I allowed her to quit but told her that the next time she decides to get involved with something, she must follow through.

Lately it's been cheerleading/gymnastics. Every time we pass by the metal buildings the 'Parkettes' practice in, she brings up how she'd like to try gymnastics and then she goes on a cheerleading tangent too. I am not so sure I am ready to fork up the time and money for this just yet. I am going to let it go for a bit and see if she is still interested in a few months.

So Many Remote Control Cars and Trucks

There are 5 remote control cars and 3 remote control trucks in this house! Some run on the same frequency and the frequencies cannot be adjusted--this drives me batty. Even thought there are so many here, the kids still loved getting them for Christmas.

Along with all these remote control vehicles are lots and lots of needed batteries. Thankfully 4 of them use rechargeable batteries and that really helps.

Looking at Wedding Dresses is Making My Head Spin

I had to laugh when I saw that as my friend Amy's status update on Facebook the other week. She got engaged on Christmas and is already looking at bridal gowns!

She said to me, "I was looking at a dress I like..lol..it's called the Lisa dress..isn't that funny!" I wonder if she was referring to this dress?

HTC Desire Z Smart Phone

Anyone have the HTC Desire Z Smart Phone? My niece wants this phone really really bad, as she says, and I don't know much about it at all.

I have been checking out the htc desire reviews online, trying to get an better idea about it but sometimes it's best to actually chat with someone who has or had it--that way I can ask questions :]

So, I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment or contact me if are familiar with this phone, please? Thanks!

Ghirardelli Goodness

We spent a lot of time in Downtown Disney during our last Disney vacation and one of our favorite places was Ghirardelli--such awesome ice cream! Oh, and yes, CJ is giving me the middle finger...

The inside of the place is nice, pretty ceiling lights and all but it is small inside, which is wy we took an outside table. Yes, they have the famous chocolate, but the ice cream is to die for! YUM!
