I'll be 37 in 2 days *-*  I am not happy about getting older; so what makes it better? Food and alcohol, of course!

Tomorrow my dad is taking CJ, me and the kids out to dinner, my mom has a cake ordered for Thursday and Friday CJ and I are going out to dinner with some of his co-workers. Now, Friday is not about my birthday, it's for him as Friday is his second last day at T-Mobile and his co-workers want to go out to dinner. BUT--I can make that all about me and my birthday! LOL!

Sheesh, do diet pills work--cuz I think I may need to start taking them considering what the next few days have in store for me!

I lost weight last time we went to Disney and I know it was from all the walking we did. That is the BEST exercise ever, walking around the happiest place on earth!

Sure looks gorgeous and the grounds are huge! I was thinking about picking up a pair of mbt shoes; you know, the ones that make you feel as though you're walking around barefoot in the sand. Maybe I'm better off renting a scooter instead, LOL!

So, we're at 8 days until we are there, 7 until we leave! YAY!

This is the Polynesian Resort. Yes, THIS resort is a Walt Disney World resort! See, Disney is not ONLY for kids!


That being said, our kids DO have lots of fun in Disney and when they have fun, we have fun.

Dante turns 5 today. I can't believe how fast time is going. I think he was only 2 in this picture:




 He is so excited for his birthday. He wants to go to the Lehigh Valley Zoo today so I guess that is what we'll do--after I make pancakes for breakfast--his request!

I'd like to create my own holiday cards this year and I'd really love to use a photo of the kids as well as incorporate Disney into it. That means I need to find a photo of all 3 kids together from one of our Disney trips.

I love these photos but why oh why do my kids make such faces?!


Maybe I will be able to get a really good picture of them when we are there next month!

This is one of my very best friends, Cherie. She has lost over 60 pounds in the last year and has managed to get glowing skin. It's amazing what some sunshine and cheap tanning lotion can do! LOL!


She is definitely my inspiration -- I want to age beautifully, just like she has! She doesn't believe she's pretty but I know a lot of people who think she is....like the 20 year old guys we met the last time we went out for drinks!

Well, younger and know what I know now! I'm turning 37 this month and panic is starting to set in. These are supposed to be the best years, right? Gods I wish I was 23 again. Well, my face looks like I am anyway...

I hope this isn't just my body beginning to fail! LOL

I'm becoming a bit frustrated at trying to find an acne medication that will work for me and not dry out my skin.

I look back at pictures from when I was younger and I never had skin complexion issues before! Why now? I thought things were supposed to get better with age, I guess not, huh? My 7 year old has little pimples on her face--wonder if that is hereditary?

I think, if diet pills and other weight loss quick fixes really worked, not too many people would be overweight, don't you agree?

I've talked about weight loss on occasion here - I even asked my readers for opinions on what they thought the best otc diet pill on the market is these days.

To my surprise, the answers I got were mixed and I noticed opinion changes depending on the season! More people are apt to try some form of weight loss concoction right after the holidays and throughout the entire summer.

Instead of teaching basic economics, I think schools should teach real life--like what happens when you're 18 and get your first credit card. Most 18 year olds don't use credit cards wisely. I know lots of people whose credit scores are in the toilet because of the irresponsible way they used credit when they were young; some are still 'paying' for it.

Having good credit is so important and it seems people don't realize this until they get denied for a loan or mortgage. They seem shocked when they find out their credit score is bad.

College students seem to have an easy time getting a line of credit and guess what happens? They max out their cards and ruin their credit.

I've been contemplating doing shopping for Yule while we're in Disney this October. The kids LOVED Downtown Disney when we were there in May!


Since we're staying at Saratoga Springs Resort we'll be extremely close to DTD so I am sure CJ and I could sneak away to shop on our own for a bit. The only thing I doubt we'd be able to get there is a PS3 and I know tat is the one gift we were thinking of getting to give as the group gift this year.

The countdown to Disney is ON--in a serious way! One month and FOUR days until we are back in Disney! This time for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!


Unfortunately, the plans for any landscape lighting and extra cool stuff for outside the house will have to wait; I must save my money for Disney trinkets! Priorities people!

We have never been there in October and I am really looking forward to it! I'm so used to being there in April/May but I hear October is really awesome!
