I Was made For Loving You!

Talk about a blast from the past!

Poison Sno-Cones!

Zoo Officials Serve Poison Instead of Syrup in Sno-Cones - WHOOPS!

Four people became sick Thursday when a zoo employee accidentally poured a degreasing agent into the sno-cone machine instead of the flavored syrup!

The two bottles are the same size, shape and color and were accidentally placed next to each other. Now, this sounds like a bad idea from the start, no?

A zoo spokeswoman said the employee didn't read the labels and apologized to families who got sick. Can you say DUH!

None of the victims ingested enough of the chemical for it to be dangerous. I still smell a lawsuit!

Live Video Streaming Services

Since times are getting so advanced when it comes to technology I thought I'd look into live video streaming services as a way to keep the liners of communication open with my friends and family.

I recently came across an informative article related to the subject, it's titled Live Event Video Streaming Via Satellite if you're interested in checking it out!

Anyone have experience with this type of technology? I'd love to get some input.

Check Me Out

Check me out in my stylish lab coat - hahaaa
This was back in the day when I was the operational supervisor for a plasmapheresis center. See? I really did have a 'normal' job once upon a time!

I hated wearing that thing. I wish the company I worked for would have invested in nicer ones because I felt so uncomfortable in the big bulky ones we did have.

I am really really glad I no longer have to work outside the home though. I truly LOVE working from home!

Learn via Live Satellite Webcasts

You've heard of using live satellite webcasts in regards to education. I mean, today that's pretty common. Many people are 'going to school' via the internet in this fashion.

Now hospitals and health education centers are also using live satellite webcasts to reach the general public. Often times parents and health officials are invited to watch a webcast regarding the latest in research and technology regarding a particular health issue. This is an excellent idea - it keeps not only the parents but the public in general, very well informed, should they choose to be.

I hope ALL parents become aware of this new technology and take advantagve of it.

Chalk Drawings

The kids are playing with chalk - it's the biggest chalk I've ever seen!

Here's a picture of Fawn doing a body outline of Wyatt.

I Hate Packing!

So, we're leaving for Ohio and I still have so much crap to do yet.

Plus, all 3 kids and myself have these wicked colds we cant seem to shake. I'm trying to tie up loose ends for work, my mom and grandma just bought some new adorable kids clothing for Dante, Wyatt and Livi so I need to do laundry and decide what to pack. I am hoping I can fit all of our clothes in one suitcase.

I truly hate having to pack.

The Ultimate Fighter

Okay, who is watching The Ultimate Fighter besides me and Zyon? Seriously, I KNOW it's a popular show yet no one I know personally watches it.

Zy has been itching to get some cool MMA Clothing and I've been thinking about getting him some, in a size smaller than he is, to use as a motivation technique for weight loss. We've both been trying to do things for the other to stay motivated on this whole weight loss and healthy lifestyle thing. I hate it, LOL

He Felt Like a Star

That's what Zyon said when he was wearing these really cool sport sunglasses while on our Disney vacation. He even blogged about it on his Dude in Disney blog, lol

He like never wears sunglasses but it was so sunny and bright in Florida that he broke down and wore a pair. I told him he looked completely stylish, just like a famous person!

Can You Find the Child?

My kids have been sick for days now - just the typical annoying cold. At first I was thinking I'd need to wear full gear around here, latex gloves and a lab coat because man, for a moment there I was thinking I'd have to quarantine all 3 kids! LOL

Here is a picture of Wyatt and Dante:

Dante is under the green blanket, Wyatt is under the yellow blanket - I took it off of his head but he obviously covered himself back up because this is how he was a few minutes after I moved it.

Just Cruising Along Here

I'm here, just cruising along, getting things finished up for work and such. We've decided to take a trip to Ohio to visit Zyon's family over the weekend. We must be crazy to decide to travel over a holiday weekend but really, it;s the only time he was able to get a few days off - unless we wait until the fall.

In other news, my cousin graduated from college - got her Doctrine! I've been looking for something nice to get her and found a nice assortment of gemstone bracelets on LaurenKlein.com - what gorgeous jewelry that site has! Anyway, I have a coupon code I'd like to share:

10 percent off for Graduation: coupon code grad09

Blah, Taxes

It's been brought to my attention, by my accountant, that not only should I be setting aside money every month from the income I a making online, but that I should be paying quarterly taxes. Well, he guesstimated that I should send in about $500 every quarter - I say, I should figure out my gross income, the figure out my deductions and then send in a percentage.

I try and buy things for my business when they're on sale, or I look for things like wholesale electronics when I need some piece of technology - check out my review of the Nikon COOLPIX S60 - I love it!

Seriously, $500 a quarter? Gah!

Back to Reality

We are back from Disney - in fact, I have been working on the trip report, you can start reading that here - WDW '09 TR

It was such an awesome vacation. I gave real time updates via my Facebook and Twitter accounts so some of my friends were able to follow along and tat was fun!

The H1N1 'swine' flu didn't get us, I don't think...The kids were and still are absolutely fine. The adults? Well, Zyon had a sinus/ear infection going on before we left and I don't think that ever cleared up. Towards the end of the trip I started to feel shitty at night and first thing in the morning. Zyon's mom, on the other hand, got sick the last day we were there and still feels awful and she has a fever now.

Today I feel much better...like my 'old' self again but Zyon still has some congestion. Blah The only other 'problem' I noticed was dry skin, maybe from the sun? I'm looking for some good skin care products to try so I can avoid this for our next trip!

There and Back!

Well, we went to Disney and had a blast!

We did take extra care as far as washing our hands and wiping down tables with disinfectant wipes before eating because of the H1N1 flu virus. None of us got sick - so far *fingers crossed*

Actually, Zyon and I did get congested but I know that was from being in the heat and then sleeping in air conditioning - it happens every year.

We are on our way home, I will post a trip report this weekend on my www.familydisneyvacations.com blog!
