This was posted on a fellow blogger's site. Out of the 3 videos she has up, this one was the one that hit me the hardest.
Now, I know, it's a montage type video - pieced together to make a point. However, these are things that WERE SAID and I am so disgusted by this man.
And there are people who question Sarah Palin's morals and credibility?? Seriously?

Oh. My. Gosh.
Yea, nice huh?
Your last blog criticized the negative propaganda currently surrounding Sarah Palin yet, you were so quick to get caught up in this absurd propaganda against Obama. As you said this was pieced together. Yes these things were actually said, however, they have also been taken out of there original context making this video clip that you were so eager to display complete irrelevant nonsense.
Well, 'anonymous' - whom I am pretty sure knows me yet doesn't want to reveal themselves -
let me tell you - the shit people are spewing about Sarah Palin is not stuff that she has SAID - they are desperately trying to dig personal stuff up about her and her family - which, in my opinion - is much different than this clip of Obama and his wife.
Furthermore, I take it you are probably an Obama supporter and well, I suppose it's tough to see the truth when it's right in your face?
Now, if this was taken out of context, then ou show me the exact context...Obama says 'Don't tell me words don't matter' yet his preacher spewed so much crap and suddenly that's out of context? So, no matter what 'context' Obama made that statement in, he made the statement.
Now, next time you leave a comment, you can type your name, or at least just an 'S'
This video is totally out of context, the Reverend does seem to be a very intense man, but he is NOT the one chosen to lead the Democratic Party, and is NOT the candidate for the presidency.
Many of the clips of "quotes" were repeated in a way that make this short video seem completely biased, and I've seen versions of it on both sides of these political bashings. Watching clips of anyone’s speech will allow you to pull out bits and pieces that may harmful to them politically, this is blatantly portrayed on famous Satires such as The Daily Show, the Colbert Report, etc.
It is true that people have been hard on Sarah Palin/ John McCain, but no where here do I see a direct correlation between the reverend and Obama's beliefs.
Seriously, from 15 clips of one man's very opinionated displays of controversial remarks, do you believe all this man preaches is Hate? I am not African American, but I know that their history is full of wrongful persecution, and hardships. Though people who face racism with racism are wrong, I believe what the reverend is trying to do is attempting to empower the black community, which is a great thing, I he doesn’t spend all day up there spewing white hatred such as individuals as the Black Panthers.
Racism is terribly widespread in the states, so maybe this forceful approach is a bit much, and may instil hatred against others, but his message is clear.
We NEED to understand the difference between White or Black Power etc., and Racism!
We are ALLOWED to be proud of who we are, just don’t judge others for what they are, I believe Obama understands this.
Simply because you go to a Church does not mean you believe everything that is told to you there is 100% rock-solid information. An intelligent person sifts through all the information he receives and ciphers out the important facts, Obama has proven himself as an intelligent and insightful individual if you have watched any of his speeches.
If believe this video portrays the absolute truth about Obama and his Wife's beliefs makes you just as ignorant and in the wrong as the left winged extremists who spread rumours and create video out of context directed against the Republican party, i.e. McCain/Palin
Listen to both sides and make your own opinion before you watch a ridiculous clip like this and say.
"Like….Oh my god OBAMA IS AGAINST AMERICA BECAUSE OF THE CHRUCH HE GOES TO!!!111111"
At least then I would respect your opinion.
Ummm, not sure how you got that the reverend was trying to empower the black community. Nice way to 'empower' people.
What, no mention of "the fires of hell are glaciers compared to my hatred of the US government"? If seeing this video affects your opinion of Obama, but hearing the AIP's founder saying that doesn't affect your opinion of Palin, you are retarded. In fact, if the statements of either Wright or the AIP founder affected your opinion of Obama or Palin, you are retarded. You should not vote. You are incapable of making an informed decision.
While I appreciate your obviously intelligent comment, I do have t say that no, this video did not affect y decision on whom to vote for. I made that decision long ago.
I ask, to all who think I am so 'retarded' or 'ignorant' please tell me what credentials Obama has to run our country? What has he done?
The video above may have clips pieced together for propaganda, but the fact of the matter is, he said what he said. HIs wife said what she said. The reverend said what he said.
And as for the reverend...no way should ANY reverend spew anti anything. There should be talk of love, tolerance, and forgiveness in a place of worship - not all kinds of 'empowering' talk such as the anti-white and anti-American shit that man said.
I never mentioned the word retarted, and I stated simply that I believe any type of propagana, such as this is in my eyes, is something that if taken 100% seriously is incomplete and utter ignorance.
The Reverend WAS going to far in some of these clips, it seems as though he is angry and with the situation with a large percentage of the African-American community which is tainted by Poverty, Drugs and Crime. Perhaps the reverend believes that America’s government has not made a valid attempt to turn this situation for the better, which to be honest, is a viewpoint that I can agree with.
However I for one do not understand how Hatred of anyone or blaming the "Rich White Man" is going to do any good, this alone is enough to damage the perception of many African-Americans and helps instil anti-white sentiment.
My father, who is a religious man, was raised Roman-Catholic, and now is a part of a Non-Denomination Christian faith which I was raised in.(I am not a part of it anymore) As a child, when I would ask him questions about the faith which I didn’t understand i.e. His faith has many views which are fairly Orthodox and non-modern. I wondered why he could believe this was the “Truth” when it was obvious he didn’t believe some fundamental ideals such as creationism. He told me this: Faith is your own, nothing anyone says should affect your faith without you thoroughly thinking it through, not doing so causes Extremists in every religion, one can be very religious but highly ignorant as we all know. The most rational approach to faith is having an open mind; do not allow yourself to be led blindly, this is the path of destruction.
My father is one of the most rational men I have met, and in my previous statement I was trying to say that I believe that Obama has similar attributes. I am not bashing anyone in saying that I believe Obama is intelligent enough to make his own decisions on faith even though his Reverend may once in a while spew what is obviously not acceptable.
I accept your obvious political views, I was simply was responding because I wanted to show you a rational and intelligent response to this issue, I simply wanted to state that I believe this video is simply propaganda, and to make sure you believe what you do for the right reasons, not the wrong ones.
Thank You,
Liam
